چکیده

In order to fill the research gap of high metal loading performance PtNi alloy catalysts, a PtNi/C nano-catalyst with more than 50 wt.% and core-shell like structure was prepared by ethylene glycol reduction, temperature annealing, acid pickling. The electrochemical test results showed that catalyst had excellent activity: surface area (ECSA) 63.8 m2·gPt?1, mass activity (MA) 0.574 A·mgPt?1, which is 2.73 times greater those Pt/C JM (Johnson Matthey) catalyst. durability further investigated. After 30 K cycles accelerated test, ECSA MA decreased 10.2% 31.2%, respectively. in this study has catalytic overcomes problem insufficient traditional catalysts potential for large-scale commercial application.

High Pt Loading on Polydopamine Functionalized Graphene as a High Performance Cathode Electrocatalyst for Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells

Morphology and size of platinum nanoparticles are a crucial factor in improving their catalytic activity and stability. Here, we firstly report the synthesis of high loading Pt nanoparticles on polydopamine reduced Graphene. The loading concentration of Pt (nanoparticles) NPs on Graphene can be adjusted in the range of 60-70%.With the insertion of polydopamine between Graphene oxide sheets, sta...

Synthesis and characterization of alloy catalyst nanoparticles PtNi/C for oxygen reduction reaction in proton exchange membrane fuel cell

In this report, vulcan XC-72 supported PtNi alloy catalyst nanoparticles were synthesized by electroless deposition method using NaBH4 as a reduction agent. The properties of the synthesized Pt-Ni/C catalysts were investigated and evaluated. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) results showed that PtNi alloy catalysts dispersed well on the carbon supports and their particle size was in the ra...

Microwave Assisted Reduction of Pt-Catalyst by N-Phenyl-p-Phenylenediamine for Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells

The presence of N-phenyl-p-phenylenediamine (PPDA: a dimer of aniline) during microwave (MW) irradiation can significantly improve Pt-loading on the XC72 carbon matrix as a catalyst support of proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs). PPDA is converted to an emeraldine base state during MW-assisted redox reaction, which is characterized by both FTIR and Raman spectra. The increased degree o...

Electrochemical Study of Hydrogen Adsorption/Reduction (HAR) Reaction on Graphene Oxide as Electrocatalyst for Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells

In the current work, graphene oxide (GO) samples were prepared at room temperature from graphite flakes using a modified Hummer's method to produce metal-free electrocatalysts. The effect of the duration of the oxidation process on the structural, chemical and physical characteristics of the GO samples was evaluated using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), ...

Pd-Co-Mo electrocatalyst for the oxygen reduction reaction in proton exchange membrane fuel cells.

The catalytic activity of carbon supported Pd-Co-Mo for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) in a single cell proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) has been investigated at 60 degrees C and compared with data from commercial Pt catalyst and our previously reported Pd-Co-Au and Pd-Ti catalysts. The Pd-Co-Mo catalyst with a Pd:Co:Mo atomic ratio of 70:20:10 exhibits slightly higher catalytic ...
